(THE TEXAS TUXEDO)
The Look That’s Always Sharp*
(*As long as
the fit is right)
JEANS
·
Make
sure the fit is right. The baggy look is
out. Go for a more classic, tailored cut.
·
The darker the jeans, the dressier the look.
·
For
a more casual look, pick a pair with fraying or pockets (See D. Wade).
BLAZER
·
The
fit of the blazer is the most important (whether with jeans or not). The blazer should always be tailored.
·
A classic blue or black always works or go bold with some color or pattern.
SHOE
·
For
a dressier look, choose an oxford or loafer.
·
For
a casual look, choose a sneaker or boat shoe.
SHIRT
·
A
white dress shirt will most often go with any combination of jean and blazer.
·
Patterned
(e.g. gingham) shirts work well with
solid blazers.
· Your shirt should always be tucked in.
· Your shirt should always be tucked in.
ACCESSORIES
·
To tie or not to tie? It's up to you!!
· Add a pocket square for some personality.
· Add a lapel flower or pin for that extra detail · ALWAYS wear a belt
Things to remember:
·
Looks
sharp with confidence
·
There
are really no rules when it comes to your own personal style.
·
Jeans
are always informal
·
The
fit is most important
